Summer has well and truly arrived and as we bask in the glorious sunshine, our amazing bees are working hard producing the finest quality honey in New Zealand (we’re biased obviously!). We’ve come a long way since we started Happy Beekeeping in 2016. From a very humble start, we now have approximately 18 million bees. Our manuka honey is now shipped across the world from as far away as Scotland to Japan, Canada and Germany. With Auckland Anniversary Day just round the corner and holiday season in full swing, what better way to spend the day than to grab your barbie, make friends with your local butcher and head to the beach. Make the most of summer with our fantastic honey glazed BBQ pork. An effortless beach party dinner allowing you to relax with friends and say hello to our local friendly butcher.

All you need Pork chops Olive oil Salt & Pepper HBK Manuka Honey

Season your chops and rub with olive oil. Cook on the barbecue and pour yourself a glass of wine (it’s the holidays!). When the chops are almost cooked through, drizzle the manuka honey over the meat and turn for a final sizzle. Remove from the barbecue and rest. Serve with a green salad or corn on the cob. Wash down with a dip in the ocean.
